Ainsworth Announces New Labour Agreement with Unionized Workers at Barwick, Ontario Mill

Vancouver, British Columbia – Ainsworth Lumber Co. Ltd. (TSX: ANS and ANS.WT) announced today that it has reached a new 4 year labour agreement with unionized workers at its Barwick, Ontario mill. Members of the Communications, Energy and Paperworkers Union of Canada (CEP), Local 324-99, ratified the agreement late last night. The previous contract expired July 31th 2009.
The new labour agreement, which involves 135 employees at the Barwick mill, was reached without any work stoppage or production disruption.
