We currently have a vacancy for an exceptional individual at our Grande Prairie OSB Plant for:

HEAVY DUTY MECHANICS

Reporting to the Team lead Mobile our heavy duty mechanics are responsible for the maintenance and inspection of all mobile equipment throughout the Grande Prairie plant.

The duties and responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to the following:

Self motivated individual to maintain all vehicles in fleet including medium and heavy equipment, primarily Caterpillar and John Deere;
Complete mechanical repairs and maintenance of equipment;
Complete safety and mechanical inspections of all equipment;
Maintain all small maintenance tools and supplies;
Ordering and receiving parts for repair purposes;
Responsible for overseeing the conduct and on-the-job training of future apprentice mechanics.

Qualifications:

Certified Journeyman heavy duty mechanic;
Able to carry out light fabrication and welding jobs;
Experience in managing work schedules and organizing/prioritizing equipment repair would be an asset;
The successful candidate will be required to provide a pre-employment medical assessment, and driver’s abstract.
